Discovering new countries is one of the most interesting parts of traveling abroad. Benin is one of those countries you do not typically hear of, but that has some really interesting opportunities. In this trip we spent ten days hunting for western buffalo and roan, two unique trophies.

The hunt was based on tracking, the most authentic way of hunting in Africa. It took us 4 hours to see the buffalo after cutting the fresh tracks early in the morning. We got in to less than 30 yards of the bedded bull and waited for a clear shot. The adrenaline rush moments before the shot presented itself was unmatchable. There are few thing more exciting than bowhunting dangerous game.
